In his works, Moscow-based artistSasha Marshani explores the themes of memory, dreams, visions, the transformation of post-Soviet society, militarisation and images of propaganda in modern Russia. His source material includes items from his family archive, Soviet cinema, literature and advertising as well as memories and heard stories. All this is combined in his images, into plots without an end or beginning.
