This book consists of a collection private photographs of missing pets. Embedded in search posters, printed on home printers, and partly protected by plastic covers, these announcements of lost cats, dogs, and birds have already been hanging in the public space for a certain period of time, exposed to sun, rain, and other adverse effects. The pictures also uncover partial insights into the world of the animals’ owners, most of whom have given their protégés a human name, such as Paul the cat. The collection of missing animals is complemented by a short story by Gerhard Meister.
