Julia Chiang has exhibited her pattern and text-based artworks widely in both New York and Tokyo, combining poetic letterforms and precise patterns in a deceptively simple style. Exuberant, beautiful and colourful, this book – produced in conjunction with her July 2013 exhibition at Nanzuka Gallery in Tokyo – collates her abstract paintings and ceramics from 2011 to the present and features an essay by Lumi Tan.
