In the late 1960s, Richard Loncraine and Peter Broxton started making sculptures and desktop toys for the growing gift market in the United Kingdom. With a background in kinetic sculpture, concrete poetry, and London’s experimental art scene, their products were infused with flair and inventiveness. Their first design, Ballrace, a stylish chrome version of Newton’s cradle, became the defining executive toy of the 1970s and ’80s. The pair went on to prove their knack for the outlandish, creating objects and puzzles to amuse and delight. This book pays tribute to the huge range of Loncraine Broxton products and includes commentary by the designers.

160 pages, 16 x 22 cm, hardcover, Four Corners Books (London).
