Perimeter x abC Shanghai Art Book Fair 2019

Perimeter is thrilled to be exhibiting at abC Shanghai Art Book Fair 2019, August 29–September 1, held at the Modern Art Museum Shanghai | No.4777, Binjiang Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai.

As part of abC Shanghai 2019, Perimeter presents Perimeter Editions 001–050, an exhibition tracing the first 50 titles from the Melbourne-based publishing house. Assuming the simple form of a sequence of pages from the first 50 Perimeter Editions titles – in addition to a typographic acknowledgement of the imprint’s collaborating artists, authors, editors and designers – the exhibition speaks to not only to Perimeter's output, but also to the wider idea of publishing as a practice, teasing out the continuities, thematic threads and contradictions that have come to characterise Perimeter's first decade of publishing.

We'll be showcasing Perimeter Editions titles, including Paris Drawings: The Most Elaborate Disguise by Tom Polo, Tabriz to Shiraz by Sarah Pannell, Shapes of Knowledge, Smoke Bubbles 1-58 by Steve Carr, Nocturnal Ecologies by Felix Wilson, Morph by Polly Borland, Boarding Pass by Ari Marcopoulos, Footnotes Backgrounds and Sheds, Second Sight by Sarah Walker and The Cavern by Travis MacDonald.
